Scope and Contents William A. Thompson grew up in Davidson and graduated from Davidson College in 1963. His father, Wilburn Arthur 'Wib' Thompson, managed the Southern Cotton Oil Company in Davidson and was a leader in the Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
