This series contains interviews with Davidson College students and alumni/ae. These interviews document various aspects of Davidson College's history and culture. Some of the alumni/ae listed in this series also worked for Davidson College in various capacities. While this series primarily focuses on student and alumni/ae interviewees, similar interviews can also be found in the other oral history series and sub-groups.

This oral history collection explores the history of Latinx students at Davidson College and includes both the work of Dr. Jane Mangan's spring 2019 HIS 259 course and student workers who collected and transcribed oral histories of Davidson alumni who identify as Hispanic, Latino or Latinx.

Oral history interview and transcript with Itziri Gonzalez-Barcenas conducted on November 10, 2019. During the interview Gonzalez-Barcenas discusses why she chose to attend Davidson College and how she found a sense of community at Davidson. Gonzalez-Barcenas also discusses how being an undocumented student and DACA recipient shaped some of her experiences as an undergraduate student at Davidson.

Marquez was a Charles Scholar, as well as part of the STRIDE program, OLAS, and the Pre-Veterinarian club. The Davidson College Community-Based sub-group consists of oral histories and interviews that explore the history and culture of the Town of Davidson and other local communities. The sub-group contains interviews with long-time Davidson residents, select college faculty and staff, alumni/ae who called the area home, and representatives from community organizations.
