Scope and Contents The collection contains ordinances enacted in the town of Cornelius and a contracts with the town to build sidewalks. There is correspondence between Chase National Bank and the town treasury, most of which is acknowledgement of funds received. There are treasury records from 1905-1909 in both handwritten and typescript copies. There are a few checks written by the town treasury, and receipts for funds received. Emma Thompson Stough Diary

The college consists of Feriba Thompson Stough's diary for 1935 to 1938. Daily entries include information about the weather and work or travel done that day. At the front of the diary, there are lists of family members and of deaths of friends and family. There is also a copy of a newletter with an article about the diary written by her granddaughter Mary Fetter Stough. (See DC0238s for her manuscript collection.)
