Scope and Contents During his collegiate years at Davidson, Wildman kept a scrapbook of his experiences. On pages 12-13, one will find inscriptions by four women, stating their names, birthdate, residence and "happy thought." On page 37, one will find a photograph of the college nurse in 1922. Edward Benton Hale Scrapbook

Scope and Contents As a student, Hale kept an ongoing scrapbook of his college memories. The vast majority of the scrapbook contains photographs of student life during the early 1900's. Hale also kept detailed accounts of various athletic events -- i.e., the scrapbook contains the scores of all basketball, track, and football games from 1917. With the words "strictly confidential" inscribed on the front, the book served as Mr. Hudson's address and rating book for women.
