Oral history interviews of the Irving Bienstock project
Irving Bienstock was born in Dortmund, Germany in 1926 and fled Nazi persecution. At the time of the interview, Mr. Bienstock lived in Charlotte, NC where he volunteered with the Butterfly Project to educate children about the Holocaust. The collection contains six video recordings of oral history interviews with Mr. Bienstock with accompanying transcripts, as well as supplementary research files.

This oral history collection explores the history of Latinx students at Davidson College and includes both the work of Dr. Jane Mangan's spring 2019 HIS 259 course and student workers who collected and transcribed oral histories of Davidson alumni who identify as Hispanic, Latino or Latinx.

Lily Burdick ’19 conducted seven oral history interviews with Davidson students as part of an independent study project, "Queer, Black, Intersectional Davidson", in 2018. The project was designed to collect and maintain the experiences of queer Black students at Davidson. The collection consists of an album (8"x7") with essays and notes written by Wylie's classmates and friends.
