Albert Crossley Wildman Papers
Scope and Contents During his collegiate years at Davidson, Wildman kept a scrapbook of his experiences. On pages 12-13, one will find inscriptions by four women, stating their names, birthdate, residence and "happy thought." On page 37, one will find a photograph of the college nurse in 1922. Brown-Knox Mercantile Company Papers
Scope and Contents The collection contains a store ledger for 1909, a deed for 2 shares of Brown-Knox stock, an advertisement, and a broadside notice of a Commissioner's Re-Sale of Real Estate. The store ledger lists the names of Davidson residents and their purchases. The broadside describes the land on which the building stood and the history of ownership of the land. Catawba Springs Hotel Collection
Scope and Contents The files contain the guest ledgers from 1838-1851 and 1852-1854. These ledgers contain the names, residences and destinations of the guests. Peter Stuart Ney's signature can be found in Volume I on September 20, 1841. The files also contain letters and poetry.
